The Pennsylvania Game Commission
is the State Operated Agency in charge of the
management of all of the wildlife in the State Of Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania Game News is the monthly magazine published by
the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
The magazine contains hunting and wildlife related articles
and articles / short stories told by employees of the agency.
These articles are entitled “
Field Notes
”.
Part of each “
Field Note
:” was an artist sketch of the Field Note Story.
That artist sketch was done by the late, renowned artist Mr.
Nicholas Rosato.
To commemorate Mr. Rosato and his work with the “
Field Notes
”
a collectible patch series was started and released by the agency in 2004.
Each yearly released patch contains a different Artist Sketch from the collection of Mr. Rosato.
