TWO (2) Pennsylvania Game Commission Obsolete Rare! COMMISSIONER UNIFORM SHOULDER PATCHES together with the SHIRT
.  This particular Patch is considered a companion piece to the (20) position patches.
In 1979 the Agency abandoned the policy of specific position patches in favor of one standard patch "
Pennsylvania Game Commission 1895
."  These particular patches are from one of the 8 Commissioners and are labeled as such.  However, the story gets more interesting.
The reason this patch is considered a companion patch and not part of the collectible series is that this patch was forgotten when the agency gained approval from the Pa. State Legislature to make use of the new position uniform patches on official agency uniforms.  Approval was required by the Pa. State Legislature.  Since the patch was initially forgotten, the Agency went ahead anyways and placed an order in hopes of gaining later approval from the Legislature.
The order was late in arriving but was still issued to the 8 Commissioners tho they were never allowed to place them on their uniforms because the Legislature never officially approved their wearing.  Therefore, they are not considered part of the official agency collection of position uniform patches.  Because these patches were supposed to never have been worn, they are very hard to find.
Here you have the opportunity to purchase two (2)! of these 4"x4¼" Patches together with what looks like, an Unused, size 17½" Uniform Shirt.  The shirt is labeled as 'The Conqueror Tropical' Permanent Press 65/35 Dacron/Rayon.
